Transatlantic love affair

We both were down on love and ready to give up searching. We’re from different countries (I’m from New York, Sandra is from Madrid, Spain), which makes us all the more unique. Both of us had a preconceived stereotype of internet dating services: we thought it was for "losers," people unable to get dates in real life. I joined Match after four months of nagging from my friend Claudia. Sandra decided to join after reading Cosmopolitan in Spain. We got an extra day together too, since Sandra’s flight was delayed by bad weather. We know we’re meant for each other. We plan to live together in the States, find jobs and get married, probably in spring 2005!

Our soul mate search has ended

My relationship of five years had ended about six months ago, but finally I felt it was time to date again, so I subscribed to Match.Com. I remember writing my profile and describing my ideal match thinking, “No one will respond to this: it's too picky.”
